Recently renovated and just about like new! Very good staff- either they all have great “people skills” or well trained in hospitality. We drive thru a couple times a year and we’d stay here again. For a hotel of this level, they are doing a great job here.

Everything about our stay at the Hampton was what we've grown to expect. The one major disappointment was the water temperature in the shower in the morning. The best I can say is it wasn't cold. It didn't even get to warm. It was normal in the evening, but not up to par in the AM.

During my recent trip from New Jersey to Illinois, I stayed here just for a night yet had a beautiful experience. Justin at check-in was warm, welcoming, and professional. I’ve stayed at many hotels along this route over the years, and this was by far one of the most professional and well-run properties I’ve come across. The views were beautiful, and although the hotel is conveniently close to the freeway, it’s set back enough that noise was minimal, which made for a very restful stay. I honestly wish more hotels operated like this one. My only suggestion for management would be to gently remind families with children not to congregate in the hallways, as hallway noise can carry to guest rooms. Other than that, a wonderful stay and I would absolutely return. highly recommend.

A wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The property is exceptionally clean and clearly very well maintained, which made for a comfortable and relaxing experience from the moment I arrived. The staff truly stood out—warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, creating an atmosphere that feels more personal than your typical hotel stay. Everything ran smoothly, and it’s clear they take pride in both the property and guest experience. I would absolutely stay here again.

Clean and very comfortable! But if you’re staying here in the winter make sure to ask front desk to turn the heat on in your room before you get there! it took forever to get the room warm.

We were forced to look outside State College due to two large sporting events being held on campus. We drove 30 minutes to this hotel. Although a bit outside of town it was worth the drive. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. 10 minutes after we got to our room they contacted us to make sure our room was satisfactory and to see if we needed anything else. The room was large, recently updated and very clean. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Good hotel, good room with a view of the mountain ridge. I paid $136 per night total for room with 2 queen beds which had all the features you can want, including in-room coffee. The free breakfast is very good with eggs, meat, waffles in an attractive room. Staff is friendly, helpful. Problems: the pool was closed during my January 2026 visit, heater in room was difficult to control, requiring use of "emergency heat" setting, and the 3rd floor ice machine made a huge noise. So I can't say this motel is a good value for the dollar.

The staff here were absolutely fantastic, dealt with 3 different people at the front desk and each went above and beyond. The breakfast was really good and the employee running it was very courteous as well. Hotel was spotless, don’t usually leave reviews but everything was fantastic here, especially for the price.

As I was attempting to drive nonstop from Nashville, TN to NY I found myself hitting my limit. Being the weekend right before Christmas traffic was heavy and winds hard. My son google near by hotels and thankfully the Hampton Inn in Lamar, PA had availability. Tired and a bit on the cranky side, I was welcomed with a warm welcome and a positive attitude. Shawn should be notice for his great customer service. He was quick as a whip but I never felt rushed. The room was ALL UPDATED and EVERYTHING was clean. Plus warm cookies for a sweet tooth before bed. I'm so happy I chose this Hampton Inn. It's marked on my phone and will definitely be back again. Thank you Shawn for my negative into a very positive:). **Highly recommend this Hampton Inn

Justin was the kindest person I’ve met in my 29 hour road trip. He is an absolute asset to your company!! I would stay again simply because of the kindness he showed us!! Probably better give him a raise ?
