The Cramer Family Mountain Inn consistently receives rave reviews, praised for its charming atmosphere, cleanliness, and welcoming hospitality. Guests particularly appreciate the comfortable rooms, included breakfast, and convenient location near scenic areas like State College and Bald Eagle State Park. It’s a well-maintained and cozy retreat that feels like home.
We stayed really enjoyed our stay in the Kelley Suite. It was cute and cozy and had everything we needed. It also has a cute shop outback with local goods to purchase. The town of Snow Shoe is cute and close to Bellefonte and State College. I would definitely recommend!
We’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Cramer Family Mountain Inn on two different occasions - once in the Fall and once in the Winter. Each time was delightful! Both the King room and the Mountain room are lovely and the attached bathrooms are large and comfortable with spa like towels and toiletries. Breakfast is included too - an added bonus. We can’t wait to visit again - feels like coming home when you step inside the Inn. Thank you!
We enjoyed our night in the Kelley Suite. It was immaculate. The suite was private, cozy and comfortable. The electric fireplace ensured a warm winter evening. The kitchen allowed us to prepare our breakfast at a leisurely pace. From reservation to check out (and everything in between), the process was seamless and all details attended to carefully. We highly recommend the Cramer Family Mountain Inn.
We have a growing family out in Ohio and when I make the trip by myself to visit, it's a long 9+ hour drive. I was looking for a place to stop overnight and came across the Cramer Family Mountain Inn so I made my reservation. What a charming place! It was so nice to get in on a cold evening to a warm, cozy place. My room was piled with all the comforts, the kitchen was stocked and clean, and the parlor was so inviting. I didn't have time to explore the area but I will bring my husband and our dog back (so nice to know dogs are welcome) on another trip and take a little longer to explore this beautiful part of Pennsylvania. Thank you, Trisha, for making my stay the safe haven it was.
My Fiancé and I have stayed here twice already. This is a wonderful place. So clean, so comfortable with such beautiful country style decorations. The bed is comfortable with clean linen. The towels are thick and so soft. The suite has a cozy couch and fireplace with T.V. and Wifi. A kitchenette equipped with dishes, cups, silverware, pots and pans. Stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster. Cabinets and fridge are stocked with breakfast food. Also coffee maker and coffee. There is a bathtub with shower and the bathroom is stocked with towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies. It has a beautiful back yard with porch overlooking the mountains. The owners are friendly and hospitable. I just can’t say enough. The price is low considering costs of hotels. We love this place and highly recommend it.
Trish and her family make you feel as though they knew you all of your life. Their hospitality is warm and truly genuine. Going out of their way to make your stay pleasant comes naturally to them. We have stayed here multiple times and are certain we will return.
I think this place looked and felt like the cleanest place I've ever stayed. Even the porches were well cared for. I hate staying places where you sit on the porch and wonder why they haven't used a broom to clear at least some spider webs. The kitchen, which is used by the guests to make their breakfasts was also spotless early morning when I used it. The house exudes charm, and is furnished beautifully; simply enough that the architecture can shine. Parking is a breeze, as is getting into the inn. The self check-in was practical and seamless. As a solo traveler, I felt perfectly cozy, safe, and secure. My delightful room (with shared bath) had a door that opened to the 2nd floor porch. The bathroom was down the hall, and was perfect in every way. It was only shared with one other room, and the best is that they let you know there is a half-bath available on the first floor. Alas, this is one of those places that you almost don't want to give a good review because of the fear it will be booked when you try to reserve your next stay. The town is surrounded by mountain beauty, and is only about 20 miles from the lovely Bald Eagle State Park. For any obsessed leaf-peepers out there, the drive down from Route 6 through the forest was stunningly colorful, even in a year when lots of the east had muted colors for drought or whatever reasons. This inn leaves a very happy traveling memory, and is a place to dream of returning.
I needed a place to split up my drive from Wisconsin to Connecticut. Thankfully, I found this beautiful B&B. Upon arrival, Tricia greeted me with a warm smile and made sure I got dinner before the local places closed, told me where my room was and made sure I knew everything I needed to. She was incredible kind and welcoming! I booked Uncle Blaine’s room and it was absolutely perfect. The room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the access to the porch was the cherry on top. In the morning I was able to make a cup of coffee at the coffee bar and enjoy a little lazy time before the rest of my drive. The bathroom was beautiful and exceptionally clean! I even sent inspiration pictures to my husband for our bathroom in our old home! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I felt at home, safe and comfortable. Can not recommend this place enough and will be back on my next adventure!
My husband and I had a very nice stay at the Cramer Family Mountain Inn. It truly felt like home. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated in the Mountain Room which had a very large shower & bathroom. Even the night light in the bathroom was a perfect thoughtful touch. Breakfast was included and the bonus was you can make it yourself. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could have possibly wanted. Tricia & Gary, the owners were so nice & accommodating. We will be visiting again. Thanks again! Jeanette & Dave Gribble
I looked at lots of hotels along I80 in the general area about 6-7 hours from Cincinnati where I live. Prices were either quite low or quite high and many had mediocre to poor reviews. CFM Inn had great reviews, no bad reviews at all and the price was reasonable and even our dog was welcome. We were very impressed with everything, the house is very clean, extremely well equipped in our room and the rest of the house. Everything was explained very thoroughly in our communications and physically inside the house. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
