The Nittany Lion Inn is a wonderful place to stay if you’re visiting Pennsylvania State University. My family stayed there while bringing our son to see the campus, and the experience really added to the trip. The inn itself is a beautiful historic building that has clearly been very well maintained. It has that classic college-town charm while still feeling clean, updated, and comfortable. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day exploring campus. The restaurants and bars inside the inn were fantastic, and it was nice not having to leave the property to enjoy good food and drinks. There’s also plenty of seating and gathering space downstairs, which makes it a great place to meet up with family, talk, or just sit and take in the atmosphere. The location is excellent—right in the heart of everything near campus—which makes getting around incredibly convenient. Overall, it’s a beautiful property and a great place to stay when visiting Penn State.

Wonderful place to stay. Super clean. Very comfortable beds. Great service. On the morning of my check in I arrived in town at 5am. They let me check into my room. I was able to rest for a few hours prior to my business in town. They say check in is 4pm but they were so accommodating. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel. 5 stars. I will definitely stay again when in town.

Incredible hotel with so much charm mixed with modern day features. Decor is up lifting. Staff incredibly pleasant & happy to see us. Food in the restaurants & the cafe are fabulous. Many great nooks to boot up the laptop & work. Family friendly. Lovely grounds to walk & ideal location within minutes of restaurants, cafes & shops. You really don't have to leave the hotel if you don't want to - everything you need is right there! Super clean & also comfy beds!

I recently stayed at the Nittany Lion Inn for 4 nights and 5 days, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. The rooms were great — clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The hallways were absolutely amazing, lined with bookcases and cozy seating areas, all surrounded by fascinating history that truly made the Inn feel special and unique. The mocktails at Triplets were delicious, and the coffee at the café was just as impressive — such a treat during our stay. We were in town because my daughter danced at THON, so we were coming and going at all hours. It was incredibly comforting to be somewhere that felt so safe, welcoming, and conveniently close to everything we needed. Every single staff member was absolutely incredible. I never once arrived or left without someone opening a door for me — that level of attentiveness and hospitality does not go unnoticed. Everyone was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout our entire stay. I do need to especially mention Claire. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, she made our stay so comforting. When my flight was canceled, Claire went above and beyond to ensure my son and I were taken care of. She helped us navigate our travel changes and made a stressful situation so much easier. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out. Thank you for making what was already a meaningful trip even more memorable. We will absolutely be back!

First time staying at the Nittany Lion Inn since the renovations and the interior has improved so much! The staff and service is great. Our toilet bowl cover was weirdly completely unattached from the toilet when we arrived and they fixed it very quickly for us. My biggest complaint is the thermostat. Whenever it turns on to maintain temperature, the screen lights up and illuminates the entire room. It’s extremely bright and kept me up both nights. The smoke detector green light that blinks periodically is also so bright. I had a very hard time sleeping.

Its a beautiful hotel within the college campus. Rooms are big and has coffee machine. Bathrooms are of good size too. Sheets are clean, bed is comfortable and front desk customer service is amazing. Their gym is one of the best with the most modern machines. They have breakfast cafe/ restaurant that opens at 6am serving coffee and breakfast. They have other restaurant/bar/ cafe as well. We had a very comfortable stay. Thank you so much.

Great updated accomodations, was recently here for a work event and the rooms were very comfortable and relaxing. It's a great location on campus so you can walk around in your down time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was in charge of organizing the event and everyone I worked with from planning through the event itself was great. Looking forward to future events there.

Oh, what a HOTEL! From the stunning aesthetic the moment you pull up, to the valet parking, and not to mention the treats in the lobby — everything was top-tier. And it gets even better… the long, CLEAN hallways and the AMAZING layout and décor of the room absolutely exceeded my expectations. This hotel is a CLASS ACT! This was my first stay, but it will now be a staple for me. My only regret is that I was there for just one night on a business trip. Rest assured, my next stay will be for a full week of personal leisure. BOOK NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Our stay at the Nittany Lion Inn was absolutely incredible. The Inn is so beautiful and super clean. Our room was quiet and offered a relaxing environment. Beds/ pillows comfortable. The location is convenient to walking anywhere in town and felt safe at all hours. Sunrise over the mountain was a few steps away. We ate at all three of the restaurants and enjoyed them all. The bar also had a relaxing and inviting vibe. Bartenders were engaging. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Special touches like refillable filtered water stations, lavazza coffee makers and complimentary fruit at the lobby. Showers have a waterfall and handheld option with good water pressure. We will definitely return!

We decided to stay at the newly renovated Inn because we were visiting on an off weekend and prices were lower than normal. The renovation is beautiful. The downstairs lobby provides areas to sit and visit or do work. The staff is warm and friendly. The rooms are well appointed with nespresso coffee makers, nice toiletries, and Penn State themed art. The room is okay. We thought that one more lamp, a mattress topper, and some variety in pillows would enhance the experience. The location is perfect as it always has been.
