The Nature Inn at Bald Eagle is a popular, quiet retreat situated within Bald Eagle State Park, offering stunning lake and forest views. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff, delicious breakfasts, and opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking and birdwatching. While some guests noted a potential odor concern, overall the Inn provides a relaxing and memorable experience.
Quiet location with views of the lake and forest. Opportunities for birdwatching, hiking, fishing, and watersports. Excellent breakfasts. No restaurant on site, however boxed lunches are available and the salads and sandwiches are really quite good.
A beautiful and very quiet relaxing place to stay. The views are spectacular. There are hiking trails all around. The staff is very kind, and the breakfast was delicious! We hope to be back again in the fall.
If you enjoy nature in The Great outdoors, this is the place to be. Each room is its own little sanctuary. The Inn is set in a state park. The grounds are beautiful. There are of places to hike, fish and boat.
My husband and I have taken our toddler here the last 2 years and it's been such a special experience. We live in Central PA but we don't get over toward Lock Haven too often, so staying at the Nature Inn for a long weekend and exploring the area is a treat. We love eagle watching and going down to the playground and "beach" with our kid, then sitting by the fire in the evening. The breakfasts are great, featuring fresh cut fruit, yogurt parfaits, rotating hot dishes like eggs and pancakes, and the coffee is available 24/7. The made-to-order lunches and dinners are delicious and the chef is friendly. We just love how homey this place feels — the staff has always exceeded our expectations with their kindness. The Inn even has a library/game room upstairs that I was able to sneak away to when I needed to get some work done after my family had gone to sleep one night. And a kids' library at the end of the downstairs hallway! We will definitely make the Nature Inn an annual tradition for our family.
For an older crowd. Expect lots of birding. The smell has to change. Get the Lakeside View, there is no Mountainside View. I enjoyed my stay but I was in the area again I wouldn’t return.
Nice bed also its so beautiful when you see the view from up here
A lovely, quiet getaway with very friendly staff, good food, and beautiful views.
Wonderful experience. Rooms are nice and everyone is so great there. Good is great.
I got married here and it was a flawless perfect experience! Kaisha is an incredible coordinator and all the staff are super kind and caring! The rooms and food are all amazing, and the views are beautiful no matter what time of year.
We are traveling back to MN and decided to stay at this great Inn off of Rt.80. We are so glad we did, as we stopped early and had time to take a nice 3 mile hike. We had a room looking at the lake and had a wonderful meal. You do order the dinner the day before which I did on the road without a problem. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer- we will go back when we are back in the area!
