Very nice staff and decent amenities. I had issues with my room card at check-in, which they fixed. They gave me cookies when I checked in and even poked me via text to see if I needed anything. It's nice to be able to communicate like that during a busy conference! Mind you, I don't look for much. Hot breaky is nice. Coffee was gross. Shower stall has shower head w/variable temp AND pressure ? No bed bugs as far as I could see. I saw all types here- from young families, retired folks, and students to utility or construction workers. Neighborhood seemed relatively safe.

A couple miles off the highway but surprisingly better rooms than any Comfort Inn we've stayed in. The Comfort Inn across the way didn't start their breakfast till 7:00 when we needed to be on the road. This place had their breakfast up and running at 6:30 as promised and we had breakfast and we're on the road at 7:00

This is just the cleanest, most comfortable little gem in State College. The front desk person was extremely nice, and even walked with me to the room when my key didn’t work the first time. We were in State College for a concert at Bryce Jordan Center, and the drive to Bryce Jordan Center is an easy six minute trip. I really like this hotel, and I got it for just under $100 for the night, and that even included chocolates on the pillow, free Internet, and a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Just fantastic!

Today was probably our last visit to this location as I was here for my daughter’s graduation from Penn State. I have stayed here multiple times over the last four years and always had a great experience. From the kindness of the front desk to the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, I highly recommend this hotel to any parents with incoming students as a great affordable place to stay.

This hotel was perfect for the Movin On festival and only $144 for a Friday night; everything else in the area was way too expensive. My only issue was the toilet; after it flushed, it was a never ending whirlpool and it would not stop making noise. I had to go to the festival so I left it and it was still on when I got back, so I had to turn the valve off. This was disappointing, but it’s not the staff’s fault and otherwise, the receptionists were very nice at check in and check out and I appreciated the complimentary water bottle and the Andes mints left on my bed. I would stay again!

My daughter and I had a great stay here as we were in town to check out Penn State. The hotel was perfect. Easy check in and out, clean and inviting environment, great beds, wonderful water pressure in the shower and a delicious free breakfast. The breakfast area was so neat and clean and well maintained by the staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

To say this is a 5? hotel would be an understatement! I've stayed at many hotels in the country and internationally. This is one of the cleanest, friendliest, hospitible hotels I've had the pleasure to stay. There was nothing I asked for that wasn't provided. The entire staff went out of their way to make me feel as comfortable as possible. This is the hotel to book if you're in the area- You WILL NOT be disappointed! ? ~Valarie Savage

We came here for a Penn State home game and paid roughly $750 a night for two queens. Absolute disgrace to pay that much for a hotel room, but that is not factoring into this review. Above and beyond the good things about the hotel were the friendly staff and the breakfast. We were very pleasantly surprised on how invested the team members were in our comfort and satisfaction! The room was absolutely not up to standards. See the photos here. There was a lining of dust over the lamp, indicating that it had not been wiped down in a long while. It’s often the small things that get you and looking behind the nightstand was the reason for our rating. We didn’t take photos of the shower and toilet, but there were scum rings on both. Just not worth the money when other places are a similar price and actually updated/clean. The location is hard to rank. We came for a football game and its not close to the stadium but is about 45 minute walk. Lots of food options and its easy for an Uber to get in to pick you up.

Came from out of town for a football game at Penn State. Before my stay, a hotel employee sent an email out with maps of gameday shuttles, the gameday schedule from the University, and a variety of other information that was very helpful. During check in we received a Nittany Lions pint glass and some snacks. After our first night I received a text from the hotel ensuring the stay was satisfactory and was asked to reach out with anything I need. Easily walked to the stadium on game day and there are bars/restaurants close to the hotel. I was impressed at how clean and cozy this hotel was. I usually stay at hotels with more "stars" and the effort and friendliness of the staff at Sleep Inn State College seriously impressed me. Would stay again

I stayed at this hotel 11/6-11/9 to take my son on a tour of Penn State and see the football game yesterday. The location is amazing - we were able to walk to the stadium in 20-25 minutes. There is also a pizza/brew pub across from the hotel which is convenient and food was good. They have daily breakfast with rotating items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, coffee, fresh fruit etc. I can’t say enough about the staff - so attentive - polite - just kind people. Lastly - I am very picky about clean rooms - our was extremely clean. They also refresh room while you are out for the day. All the common areas and bathrooms - super clean and neat. I will recommend this hotel to anyone I talk with. Worth every penny. You made this a memorable trip for me and my son. Thank you!
