Beautiful property. They truly do not build homes like this today. Jess was amazing as in inn keeper and host! If you are looking for a quiet getaway to a historic property I highly recommend the Reynolds Mansion.

My Husband and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary in the Woodland room. We stayed for two nights. The breakfast was homemade and very good and different each day. The innkeeper is fantastic she's super nice and patient and aims for making your stay as enjoyable as possible. The mansion is great for those who appreciate the art and history of the Mansion. We will definitely be coming back again.

Our stay at the Reynolds Mansion was great! The rooms were well appointed, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The location is easy to get to and the mansion has impressive history that was neat to learn about. Jess was very responsive before and during our stay and she included some personal touches that made it even more enjoyable. We had a busy weekend in State College and this was a lovely home base. We would definitely return for another stay!

We genuinely enjoyed our celebratory staycation at this exquisite property, which beautifully balances history, luxury and modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, the thoughtful and attentive staff made sure every detail was taken care of and that all our needs were met. The experience was further elevated by the charming yet cozy suite we stayed in that further contented our mood evoked by conviviality; while the delicious, house?made breakfast served the next morning was an absolute delight! Altogether, it is hard to put into words or point out a highlight of just how worthwhile and memorable our stay truly was! A special kudos to Jess for delivering an outstanding hospitality experience, as well as to the entire property’s team for their warmth and professionalism. We will definitely be back soon!

We stayed in the Grand Tour room over the holidays. The hospitality provided by Jess and her family was just so warm and accommodating. She greeted us at breakfast every morning with coffee and smiles, and was on top of things if we had any issues. The homemade breakfast was such a treat. The house was grand and beautiful, riched in history. The common areas were cozy and inviting. The cherry on the top of the sundae was the giant whirlpool bathtub in our room that we used it every night. It was the perfect relaxation after a long day out in the bitter cold. We highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back the next time we visit the area.

Jess and her mom were absolutely fantastic! They made you feel like family. We were lucky enough to receive our stay as a birthday gift from our 2 children to my hubby, am lucky enough I was included! We stayed in the Colonel’s Green Room, the bed and bedding were absolutely top notch! The room, while large, was very cozy and luxurious! We were both too tired to use the jacuzzi but when we got back, and we definitely will, we will enjoy it I’m sure! Breakfast was fantastic, we were lucky enough to get blueberry pancakes with a delicious lemon curd, bacon and fluffy eggs. We didn’t want to leave. If anyone leaves feeling “less than” it’s entirely on them. They take wonderful care of everyone and there were repeat guests there when we were there. I understand why. A real gem in a beautiful home with beautiful owners! Can’t wait to go back (which will be in March for our anniversary if weather permits)

We hosted our daughter's baby shower at the Reynolds Mansion. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and thought was put into creating such a welcoming and beautiful setting. The rooms were warmly appointed, elegant, and perfectly suited for a celebration as special as this one. Jess and her team's kindness and attentiveness throughout the planning and during the event itself made the entire afternoon truly stress-free. We were especially grateful for their help with the catering, which was both delicious and flawlessly handled. It allowed us to fully enjoy the moment and focus on celebrating our growing family. We were able to relax and simply enjoy the day with our family and friends. It made the experience completely stress free. The afternoon was memorable, joyful, and full of warmth, and the hospitality was a big reason why. We’re so grateful for their care and generosity and very much look forward to returning to the Reynolds Mansion in the future.

Our stay at the Reynolds Mansion was absolutely wonderful. The room was huge and beautifully appointed, with polished antique furniture and gorgeous ornate period fittings and decor. You can tell that real thought and care went into every detail. As a bonus, the entire mansion was decorated beautifully for Christmas, which made it even more magical. What really made our visit exceptional was the warm hospitality from Jess and Marcia, the mother-daughter team who own and run the property. Shortly after we settled in, they surprised us with homemade cookies. We were also lucky enough to get a tour of the other rooms that weren't yet occupied - each one is uniquely themed, and we're already planning our return visit to experience a different room! Even though we had to leave two hours before the regular breakfast service, Jess went above and beyond by preparing lovely and delicious parfaits for us to enjoy before our departure. These thoughtful touches exemplify the level of care and hospitality that sets the Reynolds Mansion apart. The Reynolds Mansion perfectly balances historic charm with comfort and exceptional personal service. We highly recommend this gem in Bellefonte and can't wait to come back!

I stayed at the Reynolds Mansion as a 3/4 of the way stopping point between Boston and Pittsburg, and I am grateful that I did. I am fascinated by buildings and homes with histories, and the Reynolds Mansion certainly provided this. The room I stayed in was enormous -- one might measure the bed in acreage -- yet warm and welcoming. I made good use of the in-room jacuzzi, which worked splendidly. Jessica gave me a tour of the house and invited me to read the family's history of the mansion, which I did in the downstairs reading room/parlor. I did not make use of the elegant billiards table, though I gave this thought. For simplicity's sake, think of the Biltmore home in Ashville, NC, but on a much more modest level. Had I been there for more than one evening, I would have given myself a walking tour of Bellefonte, a charming town, almost Dickensian in appearance. For dinner, I went to the nearby Maria's restaurant, which I highly recommend. The morning I left Jessica, or someone in the kitchen, prepared an open-faced omelet, along with a delicious yogurt cup and orange juice, a good start to the final few hours to Pittsburgh. After breakfast, the shower was simple to operate with excellent water pressure. It may be forever until I'm out that way again, but I highly recommend the Reynolds Mansion for anyone looking for something far from a chain hotel to stay in. It will be an enriching stay.

This was a wonderful trip. I booked the Colonel's Green Room for my partner for a getaway night. We were warmly greeted by Jess who gave us a wonderful tour of the mansion. It is rich in history and beauty and well kept. We were able to enjoy the various first floor rooms and common spaces. The rooms were stunning. The Colonel's Green Room was fantastic and homey with all the amenities that you need to enjoy your night. The bath tub was well-cleaned (which is a concern for many places). The rooms were well designed and comfortable. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you for a great experience.
