Had a great time this past Winter Break! Great room! Big comfortable bed, perfect sized room and all around clean. Staff was really and was a huge help. Location is amazing and went downstairs to Zenos and caught Briggs and Strayer live. Zenos as well has a fantastic staff and definitely will be coming back

I have visited Hotel State College twice now and have been floored both times by the service, the ambiance, and the experience as a whole. Every single detail across the lobby bar to the hotel rooms, seem to have been carefully chosen with aesthetic and hospitality in mind. To start, the decor is gorgeous. The vibe is artistic and modern, with classic details mixed within. In the lobby, the chairs are so comfortable you won't want to get back up. The toilet seats in the rooms are heated. The bartenders greet you with a glass bottle of water and a smile (Eric is absolutely awesome!!!). The front desk is accesible by text message from before you even arrive on-site for any questions. The cocktail menu at the bar is both unique and delicious, and if nothing there tempts you, you are only steps away from the Allen Street Grill, which has, hands down, the best wine program in the surrounding area. If you will be visiting the State College area, don't waste your time staying anywhere else. These guys will blow you away, too. I'm sure of it.

We almost didn’t book because of a 2-star review we saw, but we’re so glad we did. Ferman was incredibly helpful and showed us the newly renovated rooms—they were beautiful. The king bed was super comfortable, and the heated toilet seat and soaking tub made the room feel luxurious and homey. I work in the hospitality industry, and Ferman truly went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. His service left a lasting impression. This will definitely be our go-to place when visiting our daughter at Penn State. Perfect location!

Hotel State College was great! With the winter storm, I had to extend my stay a couple days and they were so accommodating. I ended up staying in the same room for 10 days and it was perfect for a solo trip. As a frequent solo traveler for work, the queen studio room was perfect and the lobby is a great place to get some work done. There was no elevator, and as someone who travels for months at a time with lots of luggage, it was a little challenging to get my bags to my room during after-hours where no staff was able to assist. However, during check out I did receive help with my bags which was so great. The staff were very kind and welcoming, consistently asking if I needed anything and they were easily reachable via text. I appreciated the phone call before check in confirming my stay and instructions on how to check in after hours. The directions to enter the after hours entrance was very helpful.The location was perfect, a short walk to groceries, coffee, or a quick dinner. It never got too loud with the restaurants and bars downstairs. Bed was super comfortable. I’d definitely recommend staying here and will stay at Hotel State College again!

My wife and I did a little staycation here and had a great time. I had never been in the hotel before, but it was really nicely done. Our room was very spacious and modern while still having a cozy feel. Walking downstairs to have dinner at the Allen Street Grill was a nice bonus. We had a great view of Allen Street as well. Would definitely come back.

The Hotel State College is a premier location and property! There was not a detail missed in the renovated rooms. They are very spacious and beautifully decorated and designed. The bathroom was gorgeous complete with high end fixtures and even a heated floor. The location is perfect, room 307 is right on the corner of College and Beaver Ave over looking the gates to Old Main, complete with a sitting area where you can watch the hustle and bustle of downtown or sip your morning coffee. Great restaurants and bars surround the area as well. Would recommend to anyone coming to visit PSU or wanting to do a little staycation date night!

The hotel stay was great! The text and email reminder I got beforehand was super helpful with the instructions on checking in and getting into the room. I also thought the videos in the email that show how to navigate the property was a nice touch. Both my wife and I loved the room. Recently renovated, it feels brand new. Super comfortable and it has a very welcoming design. Heated floors, bidet, rain shower… Very nice! It has to be the nicest hotel room in State College. And when you consider the location, can’t beat it! We’ll be staying again :)

I loved the new renovation which maintained the heritage aesthetic, while being very accessible and comfortable with all modern facilities. We stayed in a studio which was spacious with everything you need, beds lent themselves to an excellent nights sleep. The restaurants and staff were all lovely and super accommodating, would recommend dinner at The Allen, and lobby bar had delicious cocktails. Wonderful stay, would come back!

Beautiful room. Renovations are spectacular. Service was wonderful. Lobby bar is a great vibe. Drinks were definitely not basic. You can’t beat the location of this gem. Convenient to everything. Looking forward to returning sooner than later. Oh, and the food at the hotel restaurant is better than good.

Five-Star Experience at Hotel State College I had an exceptional stay at Hotel State College and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. Brendyn, the Hospitality Director, made sure every detail was perfect—his attentiveness and professionalism truly stood out. Marcy in housekeeping also deserves special recognition for her outstanding care and dedication. The rooms were absolutely beautiful—spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Every aspect of my stay reflected a deep commitment to guest satisfaction. I’ll definitely be returning!
