The Hampton Inn - State College generally receives positive feedback, with guests praising the friendly staff, clean rooms, and convenient location near Penn State. However, some reviews highlight accessibility issues in the bathrooms and concerns about room cleanliness and breakfast quality.
Typical Hampton. Clean, great people. Had a accessable room and it was not very accessible with a knee scooter. Also just a tub so very difficult to shower with a bad leg
Rory is absolutely phenomenal with her customer service! She went above and beyond to insure a comfortable stay! If she hasn't already, she needs a raise; she's a great first impression for this hotel. Rooms are excellent with comfortable beds! Breakfast and refreshments with a great esthetic! If I could critique anything, it would be the entrance to the hotel, its off the highway so be careful getting in. This is a hotel that is worth staying in! Hope this helps!
Excellent hotel. Very clean and the staff is very polite and hospitable. The rooms are great with comfortable bed and sofa. Solid and fresh breakfast. Coffee and tea is always available and the location is ideal. The only thing that would be better is there should be more TV channels provided. I was accommodated with a quieter room as I requested which was very nice and understanding of the staff/manager.I recommend this property!
A great location when visiting Penn State. Not too expensive, amenities were decent, and bed wasn't bad. The room, especially the bathroom, could have been cleaner.
Wonderful and good experience. No issues. The only issue was the coffee machines were not hot enough. However I'm sure that's easily corrected. The rooms were very nice
Friendly receptionist even when we came in late around 11pm. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice full breakfast. Easy drive for a Penn State visit.
Good place, the handicap bathroom needs some work. The door when closed is near impossible to open a lot of disabled people would not be able to. The shower runs directly outside the shower unless you put lots of towels down. The soap containers are on the wall directly behind the shower bench. Which means you can't sit back on the bench, someone needs to redo that. Edit I attached a picture of a shower idea that would work without having water go everywhere. Having a "trough" drain is what it is called. In case you guys honestly want to fix it.
Rooms and hotel are older but the staff is 10/10. Location is great, the pool was a hit with our group. Nothing bad to say.
Changed our room before checking in. We reserved a king with a sleeper sofa for a family of four. We got to our room and it only had a king bed. Luckily the Hampton Inn across town had what we needed available.
Rooms were not as clean as I would have expected. Breakfast was just OK. A lot of peppers and spices every day in eggs etc. Didn't realize they let animals in the rooms. Ours smelled musty.
